ABOUT LK
LK Weiss is owner and creative director at Portland Design Co, a Yarmouth, Maine based design and branding studio. She leads an all-women team of independent designers creating award-winning work for clients in Maine and throughout the U.S.
While her design practice focuses on brand identity and logo design, she enjoys drawing photorealistic wildlife in her free time. She began the Birds of America project in November 2022, and finalized the 50 individual drawings by May 2023. In 2018, she was commissioned to draw 21 Maine fish species and 32 Maine mammal species for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, a client of Erica Johnson Design.
LK was born and raised in Portland, Maine, where she enjoys road and mountain biking, skiing, and practicing archery. She lives with her wife and two Puerto Rican rescue pups in Portland.
